Taking a look at the seasons!

As part of 1st Grade Science Core we are taking a look at seasons! These Animoto videos are a great way to engage students in the material. Video's not only catch the attention of the students but bring a new perspective to things they are learning in class. With the world of Youtube and internet streaming becoming more prominent this will help prepare the students for their futures in a technology dense society.

Create: Fairytale Festival Flyer

This week I decided to make a flyer to advertise for the 3rd Grade Fairytale Festival. This flyer would be used to spread the word to students and parents about the event that our 3rd grade has been working so hard on! Flyers are a great way to circulate information and keep students and parents informed!

You can check out the flyer below or click here to access it on Google Drive!

Learning about Utah Slideshow!

It is time to learn about Utah as part of 4th grade social studies curriculum! This google presentation is a great way to add some visuals while teaching content in class. And because of the online format, we are able to collaborate with each other to make slideshows! This particular slideshow takes us through Utah's climate, and some interesting facts! Enjoy!

Infographics and ASL

This week we are taking a look at American Sign Language! I made this nifty infographic to share the information with you today! This infographic is a great way to look at the information before coming to class. It will help you identify the alphabet (which will be useful for finger spelling), common greetings, colors, counting and asking questions! Take a look at it below or click here to view it on the piktochart website!

Butterflies Life Cycle!

As part of the 2nd Grade Science standard 4, I have come up with a Google Form assessment to test our knowledge of the life cycle of a butterfly! Google Forms is a wonderful way to test students knowledge while they are at home as well as preparing students prior to class discussions!
